When you see these bottles and jars below at the first sight, will you think they are bamboo?
Many friends asked that why does your bamboo packages are so expensive? And they share the “bamboo” products’
pictures they found online, which are like these.
Actually, they are not real bamboo material.
The imitated bamboo textures are made by water transfer printing, a kind of processing technic.
Design the bamboo pattern in advance, print it on a water-soluble film with environmentally friendly ink. Then place
the film flat in the pool, and spray the activator evenly to transfer the pattern to the water surface. Soak the product
slowly into the water and the pattern will be transferred to the object.
So not only the bamboo texture can be imitated, any other patterns can also be designed and printed. That is how the
bottles and jars are customized. It is easy to operate and the unit cost is much lower than the real bamboo.
Comparing the imitated and natural bamboo products, you will find that the former is normally thinner than the later
because it is just a layer. And the real bamboo has its natural veins and knots, but the imitated one is totally uniform on
the whole piece.
Now you know why do they have different prices and how to recognize them?
